The European Commission published a report called The 2016 EU Justice Scoreboard which provides a comparative review of the effectiveness, quality and independence of justice systems in the EU Member States between 2010 and 2014.

The report reveals that the Slovenian justice system has been improving in many aspects. For instance, Slovenian court proceedings have been becoming shorter, the rate of resolving cases has been gradually rising since 2010, whereas the average time the Slovenian courts need for resolving cases involving infringement of EU trademark (ex-Community trademark) has been shortened by nearly one half in the last three years (2012-2014).
