In 2026, Slovenia will be the proud host of one of the central European events in the field of industrial design: DesignEuropa Awards 2026. The event will take place in Ljubljana.
By presenting the DesignEuropa Awards, the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) recognizes outstanding achievements in the field of registered designs in the European Union. This year’s awards ceremony will be the 10th in a row.
The application process is open until February 20, 2026. Registration is free of charge and is intended for all holders of a valid registered EU design. An international jury will assess the design quality, functionality, market and social impact, and sustainable elements of the submitted works. Special attention is also paid to the way the registered design system is used and the broader creative strategy of the applicants.
The awards will be presented in four categories: Lifetime Achievement; Industry; Entrepreneurs and Small Companies, and Next Generation Design, which highlights the remarkable talent of young designers, up to 29 years of age.
