Aleš Bervar, Ph.D.
Patent Attorney
Aleš joined ITEM d.o.o. in 2010. He focuses primarily on preparing patent applications, prosecuting Slovenian and international patent applications through to registration and conductsing patent searches. His previous experience includes scientific positions (Researcher at the National Institute of Biology from 1997-2002) in the field of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology leading to Ph.D. thesis in 2003. It also includes various positions in the pharmaceutical industry (Astrazeneca, Merck, Sharp & Dohme and Bayer) ranging from sales representative to Regional Brand Manager in Consumer Care. In 2009, Aleš joined the Analysis department at the Slovenian Research Agency.
